Breath/Pranayama Yoga

Breath/pranayama is the control of Prana or the regulation of the breath. There are three parts to breath- inhalation, retention, and exhalation. The most important part of the breath is exhalation, it removes stale air-carbon while the inhalation brings in fresh oxygen. The breathing is done through the nose which brings more Prana/Vital force to the body. Long breath, short breath, and quick breath(rhythmical breathing)to help heal the body of pain, injuries, blockage, stress, anxiety, asthma, lung-,cancer…
There are three types of breath yoga, Regular breathing, Alternating Nostril Breathing (Anuloma Viloma, and Shinning Skull breathing (Kapālabhātī). By doing a few rounds of breath yoga will cleanse and strengthen the lungs and entire respiratory system while rejuvenate your body from a cellular level.
Breath yoga plays a huge part in yoga. Every pose/asana uses the breath to keep the body healthy.
